Todd Cormier is a life-long Islander who was born and lived his childhood years in Hillsborough Park.

As a young man, Todd always had a passion for building and fabricating things. He began his career as a welder-fabricator at Ben Livingston & Sons while earning his ticket and attending Holland College. In 2001, Todd moved to Charlottetown Metal Products where he spent over a decade moving up the ranks from a welder to production manager, overseeing a staff of 60 fabricators and welders and helping to build export markets in Europe, Saudi Arabia, and North America.

In 2013, Todd fulfilled a dream of starting his own metal fabrication business. With two employees, he and his business partners took the risk and went out on their own and never looked back. Based on a reputation for producing high quality products, Eastern Fabricators grew rapidly and became a major employer in the Georgetown area.

Over more than a decade, they built a world-class metal fabrication business, growing from two to 160 employees out of their plants in Eastern PEI, Charlottetown, and Ontario. Serving customers in the highly demanding seafood and agri-food processing sectors, they took the business from a focus on the Island market to an international customer base with their three manufacturing locations.

Along the way, Todd and Eastern Fabricators were recognized as a business success story, earning the CBDC Atlantic Business Award of Distinction in 2015.

In 2022, the success of Todd and his business partners was further proven when AG Growth International from Winnipeg bought their company. Todd credits his wife of 35 years, his family and business partners for their unwavering support along the way.

Todd currently spends his time managing his properties in PEI and Florida and providing maintenance and grounds- keeping services though his company East River Property Care.

Todd is the son of Harvey and Paula Cormier from Hillsborough Park. He and his wife Jennifer have 2 adult children and a granddaughter.

An active sports enthusiast, Todd is an avid golfer and has coached minor league sports over the years.

Todd and Jennifer live in Stratford, Prince Edward Island.
