Born and raised in the close-knit rural community of Fort Augustus, Robert Mitchell’s journey has been defined by service, community, and getting things done. From his early education at Fort Augustus Consolidated School and Charlottetown Rural High School to graduating from Holland College, Robert’s Island roots have shaped his deep commitment to public service and the well-being of all Islanders.

You can also find Robert supporting Islanders through his volunteer work with the Parkdale Sherwood Lions Club.
Robert and his wife, Bonnie, live in Charlottetown and are the proud parents of four adult children—Ryan, Jordan, Brandon, and Megan—and loving grandparents to seven grandchildren. His dedication to family and community is the foundation of his leadership.
As he seeks the leadership of the Prince Edward Island Liberal Party, Robert brings with him experience, compassion, and a commitment to building a stronger, more inclusive province for all. Robert is for all Islanders.
