The Momentum is Ours: PEI Liberal Party Announces Nominating Meetings in Rustico-Emerald and Évangéline-Miscouche 

The energized PEI Liberal Party under new Leader Robert Mitchell is pleased to announce Nominating Meetings in District 18: Rustico-Emerald and District 24: Évangéline-Miscouche for the selection of Liberal candidates.

These meetings mark the next step in building strong local teams across Prince Edward Island and offering Islanders a clear, credible alternative for the future.

Details are as follows:
District 24: Évangéline-Miscouche - Liberal Nominating Meeting
Date: Friday, January 9, 2025
Meeting Time: 6:30 p.m. (Doors & registration open at 6:00 p.m.)
Location: Wellington Legion, 97 Sunset Drive, Wellington, PE

District 18: Rustico-Emerald - Liberal Nominating Meeting
Date: Wednesday, January 28, 2026
Meeting Time: 7:00 p.m. (Doors & registration open at 6:30 p.m.)
Location: Stanley Bridge Hall, 4897 St Mary’s Road, Stanley Bridge, PE

Under the leadership of Robert Mitchell, the PEI Liberal Party has seen renewed energy in communities across the province. Recent public opinion polling and By-Election results have made one thing clear: Islanders want change, and they see the PEI Liberal Party as their choice for that change.

“Islanders are sending a message,” said PEI Liberal Leader Robert Mitchell. “They want responsible leadership, they want a plan that puts people first, and they want a team that listens. Our party is ready to offer that leadership in every district, including Rustico-Emerald and Évangéline-Miscouche.”

The PEI Liberal Party encourages all members in District 18 and District 24 to attend these Nominating Meetings and take part in selecting the Liberal candidates who will stand for them in the next provincial election.

Membership & Voting Eligibility
Those wishing to seek the nomination in either District 18 or District 24, are encouraged to reach out to the Party or their local District Association.

To participate in the Nominating Meetings, individuals must be members of the PEI Liberal Party in good standing in accordance with party rules. For information on membership or to confirm eligibility visit the PEI Liberal Party website.
