Dan Kutcher Acclaimed Leader of the Prince Edward Island Liberal Party

Dan Kutcher was officially acclaimed Leader of the Prince Edward Island Liberal Party on Sunday, October 25, during the Party's leadership convention at the Delta Hotels Prince Edward in Charlottetown.

Kutcher, the former Mayor of Summerside, was the sole candidate in the leadership race and has spent recent weeks travelling across the province on his 1–27 Tour, meeting with Islanders and hearing their priorities for the future.

“Sunday was an important milestone for our Party,” said Katie Morello, President of the PEI Liberal Party. “We've spent the past several years rebuilding, reconnecting with Islanders and preparing for the future. We're excited to welcome Dan as our new Leader and will continue that work together.”

Kutcher thanked Party members, volunteers and supporters, emphasizing that his focus remains on listening to Islanders and building a plan that reflects their priorities.

“I'm grateful for the confidence and support of Liberals across the Island,” said Kutcher. “Over the past several weeks, I've heard directly from Islanders about the challenges they're facing and their hopes for the future. Those conversations will continue to shape our priorities as we build a strong team and a clear plan for Prince Edward Island.”

The Liberal Party will continue preparing for the next provincial election, including candidate recruitment, community engagement, and policy development.
