DONATE

Andrea Greenan is a registered nurse, municipal leader, and longtime community advocate with deep roots in Prince Edward Island. She brings more than four decades of frontline health care experience, a strong commitment to accountability, and a clear focus on delivering results for families in Rustico–Emerald.

Born, raised, and educated on PEI, Andrea has dedicated her life to serving Islanders. A graduate of the Prince Edward Island School of Nursing and a member of the College of Registered Nurses and Midwives PEI, she worked with Health PEI for 43 years, caring for thousands of patients and their families. She is widely respected as a strong and steadfast advocate for patients and for a health care system that works for everyone.

Andrea’s leadership extends beyond the bedside. She has stood up for registered nurses through her work with the PEI Nurses Union and has been a consistent voice for improved health care policy. She currently serves as Chair of the Gulf Shore Community Health Corporation, advancing local health initiatives, and has volunteered with organizations including the Kidney Foundation and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Andrea also brings valuable experience from municipal government, serving on North Rustico Town Council, where she gained firsthand insight into the challenges facing residents and communities. A permanent resident of North Rustico for more than a decade, she and her husband, Clarence, raised their two sons, John and David, on PEI and chose the community as their forever home.

As the Liberal candidate for Rustico–Emerald, Andrea is focused on practical solutions — improving access to quality health care and mental health services, strengthening public education, expanding access to affordable housing, supporting primary industries such as fishing, farming, and tourism, and strengthening community infrastructure. Accountability, fiscal responsibility, and transparency in government decision-making are central to her approach.

Andrea believes Islanders deserve leadership that listens, asks tough questions, and gets to work. She is committed to being a strong, plain-spoken voice for Rustico–Emerald and to ensuring the district is well represented in the Legislative Assembly.
