PEI Liberal Party Thanks Voters Following Cornwall–Meadowbank By-Election 

The PEI Liberal Party congratulates Tayte Willows and the Green Party on this by-election victory in Cornwall–Meadowbank and thanks the voters of the district for participating in the democratic process.

While the result was not what the party had hoped for, Liberals are proud of the positive, issues-focused campaign led by Leader Robert Mitchell and the many volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout the campaign.

“It was a privilege to meet so many residents of Cornwall–Meadowbank and hear their ideas, concerns, and hopes for the future,” said Robert Mitchell. “I congratulate Tayte Willows on her election and thank all of the candidates for running a respectful, issues-focused campaign. When people take the time to come out, vote, and share their views at the doorstep, that’s democracy at its very best.”

The Party also expressed its appreciation to Mitchell for his leadership and commitment.

“Robert has done an extraordinary job rebuilding the PEI Liberal Party from the grassroots up, and we owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude. Any conversations about the future are for another day. Today we thank Robert for everything he has done and for everything he will continue to do for our party.”

The PEI Liberal Party remains committed to listening to Islanders, earning their trust, and continuing to build a strong, positive alternative for the future.
