Today, PEI had a cabinet shuffle, and I’d like to take a moment to wish them all the best as they try and tackle the big issues facing Islanders.

I watched closely to see how Premier Lantz would meet the moment as he returned to the premiership. But what we’ve seen over the past year continues: a government trying to rebrand itself as “new,” while offering the same direction, the same priorities, and the same uncertainty. Today, we are no further ahead than we were the day after Dennis King resigned.

Islanders deserve stability and not musical chairs at the Cabinet table. Since the 2023 election, this government has fundamentally changed.

The chaos remains. Islanders feel it in their power bills, in health care, in the classrooms, and in the uncertainty about what comes next.

Islanders are ready for steady leadership and a better plan. And we’re building the team to offer that.
